Hydroponics
Your reservoir decides the grow.
Slime on the walls. Biofilm in the lines. Roots going brown and smelling like a fish tank. Hydroponics Plus is 7.5% silver stabilised hydrogen peroxide that keeps water, lines and root zone clean, with no chlorine stressing the system. One tower in the kitchen or a room full of channels, same product, only the volume changes.

Plus treats the water. Cleaner strips the hardware. Nearly everyone ends up running both, so the kit is the cheaper way to start.

Four things that go wrong. Four rates that fix them.
No guessing. One tower in the kitchen or a room full of channels, the rates are the same. Only the volume changes.

Brown, slimy roots and a reservoir that smells
- New system or full water change: 10 to 15ml per 10L, wait 30 minutes before use
- Routine: 5 to 10ml per 10L every 7 to 10 days, or at each top-up
- Add nutrients first and let them disperse, then dose. Never pour concentrate onto roots

Green slime on the walls, ports and net pots
- Dose at the routine rate, and keep the reservoir covered and out of direct light
- Net pots and trays: spray, leave wet several minutes, then rinse
- Clay balls or coco coir: 250ml per 10L, soak 40 to 60 minutes, rinse until clear

Drippers blocking and flow dropping off
- 300ml per 10L, circulate through the system for 1 hour, then flush with clean water
- Between grows, or any time flow starts falling away
- Chlorine-free, so nothing is left sitting in the lines

Last crop's problem turning up in the next one
- Root dip before transplant: 30ml per 500ml, dip for 30 seconds
- Seed soak: 15ml per 500ml before planting
- Wipe down trays, benches and tents between every cycle
Before you dose
- Always follow the directions on the bottle. The label rate takes precedence over anything on this page.
- Add nutrients first and allow them to disperse before dosing. Dosing straight into concentrated nutrient can cloud the reservoir.
- If you run beneficial bacteria inoculants, keep them at least 24 hours apart from a dose. Hydroponics Plus does not tell beneficial microbes from unwanted ones.
- Not suitable for aquaponics or any system holding fish, shrimp or other aquatic animals.
- New to it? Start on a few plants and watch them for several days before treating the whole system.
- Rinse edible crops in clean water before eating.
- Keep out of reach of children. Store upright and out of direct sunlight. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate, and rinse any spills with plenty of water.
The microbial reduction performance of this product has been independently evaluated and verified by an ISO 17025 accredited microbiology laboratory. Results in your own system will vary with water quality, temperature, light levels and system design.

Plain peroxide, chlorine, or this
Most growers have already tried one of the other two. Here is what changes.
| Forsana Hydroponics Plus | Standard 3% peroxide | Chlorine-based sterilisers | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strength | 7.5%, silver stabilised | 3%, unstabilised | Varies by product |
| How long it keeps working | Silver ions stay active after the peroxide has broken down | Breaks down quickly, often the same day | Needs constant redosing to hold a residual |
| Biofilm in tubing and drippers | Dedicated circulate-and-flush rate | No published rate for the job | Works, but leaves byproducts behind |
| Effect on the system | Chlorine-free, oxygen based | Chlorine-free, oxygen based | Can stress roots and beneficial microbes |
| What it leaves behind | Breaks down toward water and oxygen | Water and oxygen | Chlorine byproducts in the reservoir |
| Independently verified | Yes, ISO 17025 accredited laboratory | No | Varies by product |
| Made for hydroponics | Yes, with a rate for every job | General purpose | Usually water treatment first |
Hydroponics Plus or Hydroponics Cleaner? Which do I need?
One treats the water you grow in. One strips the hardware the water runs through. They do different jobs, which is why most growers keep both on the shelf.
Hydroponics Plus, 7.5%
Goes in the water. Oxygen and silver ions for the reservoir and root zone, dosed alongside your normal feed. Also does root dips, seed soaks and media soaks.

Questions people actually ask
What is the difference between Hydroponics Plus and Hydroponics Cleaner?
Hydroponics Plus is 7.5% and goes in the water. It is your ongoing reservoir and root zone treatment, and it also does root dips, seed soaks and media soaks. Hydroponics Cleaner is 3% and ready to spray, for tubing, pumps, drippers, trays, net pots and benches between grows.
Will it mess up my nutrient solution?
Not when you dose in the right order. Add your nutrients first, let them disperse for a few hours, then dose Hydroponics Plus at the rate on the bottle. Dosing straight into concentrated nutrient can cloud the reservoir, which is why the order matters.
I run beneficial bacteria. Can I use both?
Yes, but keep them apart. Leave at least 24 hours between a dose and adding your inoculant. Hydroponics Plus does not tell beneficial microbes from unwanted ones, so give the beneficials a clear window to establish.
Will it deal with root rot?
Root rot takes hold in warm, low oxygen water. Hydroponics Plus works on the water rather than the plant, so it targets the conditions rot thrives in. Most growers use it as routine prevention at every water change and top-up, and flush the system out between crops rather than waiting for a problem.
What about algae on the walls and net pots?
Algae needs light plus nutrient. Treating the water helps, but the real fix is both: dose at the routine rate and keep the reservoir covered and out of direct light. Spray net pots and trays with Hydroponics Cleaner between cycles.
Is it chlorine free?
Yes. Oxygen and silver ions, no chlorine, and it breaks down toward water and oxygen. Nothing is left sitting in your lines.
How much do I actually use?
New system or full water change, 10 to 15ml per 10L and wait 30 minutes. Routine, 5 to 10ml per 10L every 7 to 10 days. Flushing biofilm from lines, 300ml per 10L circulated for an hour then flushed. Always follow the directions on the bottle, which take precedence over anything on this page.
Can I use it on food crops?
Yes, used at the label rate. Rinse produce in clean water before eating.
Can I use it in aquaponics?
No. It is not suitable for aquaponics or any system holding fish, shrimp or other aquatic animals.
Does it actually work, or is that just marketing?
The microbial reduction performance of this product has been independently evaluated and verified by an ISO 17025 accredited microbiology laboratory. Results in your own system will vary with water quality, temperature, light levels and system design.
